Danial Arab

Danial Arab received his PhD degree in Petroleum and Chemical Engineering from University of Calgary in April 2021. Danial received various prestigious awards including University of Calgary - Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Graduate Excellence Award for the four successive years (2017 – 2020) and the Mitacs Global Link Research Award. Currently, Danial is working as an industrial postdoctoral fellow under the co-supervision of Professor Peter Englezos (The University of British Columbia) and Professor Apostolos Kantzas (University of Calgary). Danial is developing data-driven models for complex fluid flow in porous media. His research interests include application of nanoparticles to tune fluid flow in porous media and enhanced oil recovery. Danial was national soccer player, goalkeeper, with more than nine years of professional experience.
