Nikesh Patel received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University in April 2022. Nikesh has extensive teaching experience as an instructor in the Chemical Engineering department at McMaster from 2019 to 2020. Nikesh is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow under the co-supervision of Profs. Bhushan Gopaluni and James Piret. Nikesh is developing data-driven models for continuous and batch bioreactor systems for the growth of Chinese hamster ovary cells. His research interests include subspace identification, integrated modeling, model predictive control and partial least squares modeling.
